Looking to expand his current home, an extension was needed. A one storey, flat roof extension was the plan and at 27m2 it ensured there would be plenty of new space added to the home.

When lockdown hit Big Dog Little Dog (a small social enterprise helping organisations to improve the way that they support people suffering from poor mental health), they soon found they were unable to deliver their important mental health training to other businesses.With thoughts of the future, it was decided that they needed to be able to deliver their training remotely from a convenient location. With a little planning, a new 9sqm shed was purchased and converted into an external broadcasting studio to allow delivery of their mental health awareness training.

Simon bought a 1963 Vanwide railway goods wagon with plans to turn it into a garden room for himself and his family.To get the wagon to a usable state, a full strip out was required, leaving only the metal casing of the original wagon remaining. Looking to insulate the 2m x 5m roof, careful consideration had to be given to retaining the original look of the carriage.

A project that had been seven years in the planning, the dream to create much-needed space for Darren and his family.With plans to build a spacious two-storey extension, providing an open plan family kitchen dining area downstairs, with an extra bedroom and dressing area upstairs. It also allowed Darren to build a first floor, sheltered balcony area to enjoy the views from the property.By building the extension, it allowed for Darren and his family to stay in their much loved family home.
